Robert Harold Burrows
1935 – 2011
Beloved family man and friend, Bob Burrows, age 75, passed away in his sleep at home on Wednesday, 26 Jan 2011. He will be greatly missed.
Born 7 Dec 1935 to James Eugene and Lois White Burrows in Ogden, Utah, he grew up in Weber County.
Bob valued the School of Hard Knocks. But he also attended Weber High, Weber College and University of Utah, earning an Engineering degree, after serving as missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in West Germany. He earned a MBA degree from Harvard University.
He was a life-long member of the LDS Church and had a vibrant testimony of Jesus Christ. He married Helen Ruth Barlow, who passed away 7 Feb 1969. Together they had 6 children. While employed in Germany, he met and married Margaret Alberta Jacobs. 3 more children were born to them.
He was a long-time resident of Hollister, California. For the greater part of his career, Bob worked in the semiconductor manufacturing business, with assignments in various locations in the US, Europe and Asia.
He is survived by his wife, Alberta, and children, Marc (Brenda), Anne (Paul) Cameron, Jeffrey (Analilí), Jennifer (Daniel) Nielson, Craig (Juliana), Brett (Vera), Margaret (Jonathan) Campbell, David (Maya), and Richard (Jeanne-Marie). He is survived by 30 grandchildren. Also survived
by sisters, Helen (Noel) Nellis and Marva (Wayne) Hancock, and sister-in-law, Dixie Hutchins. Preceded in death by his wife, Helen, his parents and brother, Edward.
In the last few years, Bob suffered the degenerative effects of Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD). The family is grateful to caregivers and friends for all the wonderful support and kindnesses. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gift to Life Program:

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Monday, 31 January, at the Orem 7th Ward Chapel, 365 S 900 E, in Orem, Utah. Viewing times, at the same location, will be 6–8pm, Sunday, 30 January, and 10am prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery
